I experienced severe problems with fatigue for a very long time. Today we’re going to talk about the foods I’ve found to maximize energy. You may be tired from other things like lack of sleep or stress. But, in this video, we’re going to focus on the foods that can affect your energy both negatively and positively.

I believe you’ll actually be more successful if you focus more on avoiding certain foods rather than focusing on the foods you are eating. If you’re eating foods that are supposed to boost your energy, but at the same time, you’re eating foods that should be avoided, you’re not going to get your energy back.

The most important thing is to avoid all sugars and carbs. Your carbs should be below 30g. Frequent eating also kills your energy.

The best foods for maximum energy:

Protein — Too much protein can cause you to be tired. You need a moderate amount of protein (3-8 oz. per meal). The meat should be fatty, not lean.

Key minerals — You need potassium and magnesium. Salads and vegetables are great sources of both potassium and magnesium.

B vitamins — Refined grains deplete B vitamins. Nutritional yeast is a great source of B vitamins.

Fats — MCT oil, animal fats, fatty nuts, and eggs are great sources of fat to help boost energy.

  1. Lol.. Saw a Norwegian commercial before this video where they had a nice healthy dish of food, freshly cooked soaking in coka cola… What people do today is mind blowing

  2. Why can’t you be clear/unambiguous with us,
are you telling us to NEVER eat grains, bread etc, or
saying to not eat these things before a workout, what?
What, what, why not be clear with us…

  3. Tell us what you eat on a daily
basis Eric, to keep your energy level up
    and your immune system strong.
Everything you eat on a typical day, any
and all supplements, and roughly what time
of day you consume these items.
This will be a real-world ballpark diet of
which many of us will be willing and eager
to try, myself of course included.
That is, if your daily diet is not proprietary.
Surely we are all different, but give us a
benchmark from which to draw from.

  4. Wow I would have never guessed excess protein, calories, and especially carbs were the enemy to high energy. I’m in a lean bulk and I thought that I would have higher energy cause I was packing on nutrition

  5. Have you heard of mrc my mom lost like 80 pounds i started it and lost like 10-13 pounds in 8 days ❤️

  6. I’m so grateful for Planet Ayurveda Energo Plan Syrup. It helps me stay focused and energized all day long."

  7. I am a runner and my fuel definitely depends on carbohydrates. The best way to get high energy is to exert yourself physically every single day and if you enjoy doing that, then that joy itself will bring on significant energy. You can have the best diet in the world, but you’re not gonna feel as good as if you have the best diet in the world and exert yourself physically daily. That is just my experience..

  8. 1- Prioritize good Sleep
2- Avoid Sugars, grains, pasta (carbs), keep below 30g
    3- Eat Moderate Amount (3-6 ounce/meal)
4- Prioritize fatty meat over lean meat to avoid spiking insulin
5- Take Potassium and Magnesium from salads (Mg, K –>super imp).
6- B vitamins from nutritional yeast, MCT oil (avoid refined grains)
    7- Eat animal fats
    8- Eat eggs, nuts

  9. Very useful information. I am just thinking, how can i avoid carbs and sugar in my diet every day (2 – 3 meals per day). I feel that is hard !

  10. Docter Berg I have been off caffeine for 3 weeks and my energy is so low right now. But the thing about eating right is having sweet tooth cravings as well so it is extremely hard.

  11. 1:22 ”You must get your carbs down below 30 gms”
With all due respect, this is so unhelpful without elaborating
on what you mean: Get below 30gms — when , your whole life,
this day, before needing energy , last week????

  12. Dr Berg. Please start a school for new real doctors. 🙏 seriously. We need doctors like you all over the world. 🌎

  13. 1. No Sugar, No Carbs
    2. No regular eating
    3. Eat sufficient proteins but not too much because too much will cause insulin to rise which makes you tired after it crash.
    4. Boost up on potassium and Magnesium.

  14. the info is very good BUt talking oz instead portions? not for me, it’s hard to figure out AND I’m not gonna buy a scale

  15. This is too restrictive. First we’re told to cut out all white sugar and refined or processed carbs. Now you’re saying to add complex carbs to that list. We still gotta get fiber though.

  16. Everybodies body is different, it’s not a one size fits all, take ur time, experiment, and figure it out for urselves

  17. I love Dr. Berg but this video didn’t age well. We now know that carbs are not the enemy. Just eat whole foods. Don’t extract any food group from your diet you need them all. Everything in moderation. It took me years to learn this.

  18. Wow, was reading this feed, so many feel the same way we do about Dr. Berg. I also consider Dr. Berg my NO. 1 Source for body issues because I LOVE THAT HE EDUCATES THE PUBLIC., so we can master our own natural health., and the amazing repair capabilities of the body if you do take actions with the basic logical actions Dr. Berg educates you on. 19. Carbohydrates replace glycogen with your body uses to move why the hell are you telling me to replace carbs or stay away from carbs

  20. Food is electric magnetic energy and fruits yield the highest angstroms. This Dr is giving people the wrong information

  21. Unlearning everything the so called diet experts told us to eat…I am carnivore now and I feel great!! Joint pain gone, brain fog gone, bladder issues gone, bloating gone, and I sleep better!! There are so many benefits to eating low carb, no sugar!❤

  22. Is this for just regular people cause I weight train 4-6 times a week so I assume 30 gs of carbs ain’t gonna cut it for me in terms of energy lmao

  23. Dr Greger said that eggs triggers something in our gut bacteria leading to cancer so who to believe now 🤔

  24. fasting will allow the muscles to go in a catabolic state, you don’t need to fast for high energy levels my friend.
